A few 'In Progress' Paintings

With the PINK Lincoln its obvious where I'm going. With the others, I still have no idea. (I guess that's half the fun?)

more Owl art..

OWLS!!!!

Im not sure how I got started creating our feathered Nocturnal Friends, but its almost as if I cant stop. Here are a few of my recent owls, plus an owl painting in progress, and a few really awesome postcard prints of my work (concerning owls.)

I enjoy making these, but I wish I could do a better job steering my obsessions. I keep meaning to go on a Kangaroo and a Neal Patrick Harris painting spree... sadly neither of those have come to light (yet.)

Faces (of a few paintings In Progress)

Here are a few faces of some of my current work. Most of these paintings are at least half way finished. After so many paintings of animals in profile, I thought it would be nice to make a post where every subject has 2 eyes.

I gotta tell ya, all this Lincoln Painting has me yearning to re-read "Abraham Lincoln the Vampire Slayer,"which I totally recommend, by the by. I can imagine many more mono-cromatic Lincolns after I rock that book again. Find books on Abraham Lincoln at Barnes & Noble, and possibly save with this code

Once I discovered these creatures actually exist, I became obsessed and started a few Narwhal based projects. Here are 2 Oil on Canvas paintings just finished!

My Current Owl Phase...

Some one recently told me they wanted their first "Purchase of Art as a Married Couple" to come from me, and to be one of my sweet Owls. I was so touched and so inspired that Ive since started several more Owl paintings and I have spent a bunch of time on detailed Owl drawings.

I hope to soon finish the Owl paintings Ive started, but for now here are several of my completed works:

To see more of these owls, Please Check my ETSY page.

My Current Peacock Phase

I usually paint in phases. I get a subject or color under my skin and I need to paint and sketch and paint that obsession. One of my most recent itches have been peacocks.

Here are a few items Ive been working with, some finished and some not.

love notes, Sharpie Doodle Monsters

Here are some recent Sharpie Monster Doodles. This new batch of my lovely ickys seem a bit more whimsy than usual. Almost like they are dancing.

These are much smaller than the one in the last post. 5.5 x 8inches I think.

for more information on these wonderful creatures, please check my ETSY site.

PS- Sharpie ( my fav Marker) is sending some love my way. Check out this post!

Lincoln (Narwhale) Love

In the last 12 hours, Ive been in a bit of a frenzy sketching ol'Abe.

Hopefully, these will lead to a really fun painting.
