What Im painting now...

This is my favorite of the FOUR dino paintings Im sorta kinda working on now.

I actually just took stock of the canvases Im trying to complete. I stopped counting at 18. This is the list:

4 DINOS ( one involving the love for a unicorn)
4 Monster Doodles
1 Anatomical heart ache painting inspired by the poetry of Gregory Sherl (but not in the way that those who might have read Sherl wil be thinking "anatomical")
4 birds (one humming, one with inspirational life message)
1 giraffe
2 colorful I-dont-know-whats-its
2 canvases pastel primer-ed w/o subject

thats 18 (and theres always the this and that ive been meaning to finish but havent touched in 6 months)! AND im about to start a marsupial commission.

Hopefully a few of these will be completed and up soon.

Hoorah for Sunday.....Sunday is Painting day....

A Giraffe, a hummingbird, and a Dino. These are a few items Ive been working on throughout today. Having the first real day off Ive had in a while (no road trips, no feeling awful, no massive amount of errands to run) Ive been trying to catch up on a few paintings.

OTHER paintings Ive been working on today that are not pictured, but should be coming soon (should i ever finish them) include 2 other bird paintings, another stegosaurus painting, and "Charlie & Rex" - my dino/unicorn love sympathy that will probably never be complete. ( to see more of Charlie & Rex click HERE or on the title itself)

Also of note: this is an awful pic of my dino. However so much of the canvas was wet (and REFLECTIVE) that a decent pic couldn't be taken by my unskilled hands.

Charlie & Rex

Originally I wanted to paint a T-Rex and a unicorn Boxing. I got to the point of boxing gloves and stopped. This painting has been sitting aside for about 6months. Recently I thought it would be more expressive if they were sharing affection rather than punches.

This painting is still in the very early stages- Which is fun because we can watch it grow.

Update 4/2/10: lets be honest, im not really sure where Im going with this.

Update 12/12/2010: I added a bit of yellow here and there today, but Im not mush closer to finishing this painting than I was in April. Pics to come soon. Maybe.

Update 12/20/2010: Probably the last time I'll be working on this painting this year. Not that its cleaned up so much I have a good idea where Im going color wise. Suddenly I don't feel too awfully far from finishing this one. (p.s. shiny= wet)
