Jan 23rd is the Chinese New Year. This year is the year of the Dragon. In celebration (and because I just read the Inheritance Cycle- a series about dragons & their riders- THAT I LOVED) I decided to challenge myself to painting a few dragons this weekend. I think they turned out alright considering I've never even sketched one of these creatures before.
These are both great! The second one is really cute, but my favourite is the fiercer looking one - I love the strong shape of his wings and all the detail in his scales and in the background. Nice work!
